Controls Electrician

This position assists the Electrical Department Manager with plant controls needs regarding hardwire, hands-on panel work, and thorough documentation. He/she must be proficient with UL practices. Position requires strong aptitude in industrial controls with attention to detail. An accredited Electrical Engineer is preferred or a candidate with comparable on-the-job experience will be considered.

The ideal candidate must have the aptitude to become proficient in the following areas:

Electrical safety procedures, OSHA compliance including Lockout/Tag-out procedures
Basic Electrical Engineering concepts
3 phase, 480V power distribution, motors, starters, and troubleshooting methods
National Electrical Code. (NEC)
UL 508A panel building practices
Variable Frequency Drives, Flex I/O, weighing systems, bar code scanners, and basic network systems

Hourly rate: $15 - $20 DOE
